CleanAir Europe has identified and optimised packaging solutions to protect the cages and minimise the impact of transport costs.
This service is entirely dedicated to the handling and transport of the filter sleeve supports, so as to guarantee the quality of the product reaching the destination, no matter where it may be around the world.
CleanAir produces all packaging solutions in-house, controlling and guaranteeing high standards of quality along with fully-customised solutions.
In addition to packaging for transporting the cages, polyethylene finishes are available.
Our sleeve cages, shipped all over the world, often have to face all kinds of temperatures and weather conditions. For this reason, we have developed various means of protection that adapt to any type of transport.
FIT OK ISPM 15
For the construction of the transportation crates, CleanAir only uses smoked wood.
The company is ISPM 15 certified and all crates bear ISPM marking.
In the event that this marking is absent, please let us know.
The FIT OK marking certifies that the wood has undergone heat treatment and that the wooden packaging and production chain of all components have been completed under the supervision of the Italian Plant Protection Organisation to ensure the correct phytosanitary treatment established by the international ISPM15 standard.
CleanAir manufactures all packaging solutions in-house.
Crate markings
The packaging is identified by the CleanAir trademark whilst the crates are accompanied by symbols and markings in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Such markings indicate the nature of that contained in the casing and how it should be scrupulously handled.
Crate handling
The packages are to be handled with specific equipment suited to the type of crate to be moved and for the placement of the casing near the dust manifolds on which the cages will be installed.
Crate handling by forklift
With the forks extended as widely as possible (with the recommended minimum fork size being 2000 mm distance centre-to-centre, 120 mm in width and 1300 mm in length) according to the image shown below:
The lower part of the crate bears blue or black markings that indicate the correct position for loading the crates.
Crate handling by crane
Crates containing cages, are not made to be stacked and cannot be moved with a crane unless agreed upon in advance. If using such a vehicle, we recommend using sturdy lifting straps.
For more details, please refer to the “Handling and Storage".
Crate handling with suspension straps
After the production stage, the cages are introduced into the crate and stacked on top of each other. For added safety, we introduced a new system to prevent excessive rubbing or damage to the cage, which proved possible with the use of yellow suspension straps that support the cage when handling the packaging.
Crate handling with traction belts
Using traction belts to remove the crate from the containers is strongly recommended so as to prevent any breakage of the wooden sleepers and consequent damage to the cages.
CleanAir Europe has produced a handling and storage manual for operators so as to facilitate the loading and unloading of the crates from trucks and containers with the aim of preventing any issues and additional costs.
